Carl Gordon

I have represented New Zealand as an open water swimmer, surf life saver and triathlete; I was two times New Zealand Swimmer of the Year, was ranked in the top 10 Open Water swimmers in the world, for 3 years running and won a bronze medal in the Men’s 5km Pan Pacific Championships. As a coach I have coached pool swimmers, open water swimmers, surf life savers and triathletes to many successes both nationally and internationally.

In recent times I have travelled with the New Zealand Swim Team to the Oceania Open Water Swimming Championships, Australian Youth Olympic Festival, Trans-Tasman Tri series, Trans-Tasman Open Water Competition and in 2007 I was the New Zealand Open Water Coach to the World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

Before joining the St Peters’ team, I coached the Ashburton Swim Team for 7 years, we had many successes including: numerous swimmers win National Titles, medal at National Championships, represent New Zealand in either Triathlon or Swimming and make New Zealand Squads.

I am enjoying working with the St Peters team, I am looking forward to seeing the team grow and develop into one of New Zealand’s top competitive swim teams.
